Michail Antonio 67 Meme Meaning and Origins Explained
During the recent FA Cup draw, which was broadcast on TNT Sports, Antonio joined former Crystal Palace captain Joel Ward as a special guest. During the show, Ward pulled out ball number 67 while representing National League South side Slough Town. As he pulled out the ball, Antonio immediately mimicked the popular “67” gesture seen across social media. Antonio opened his palms and quickly moved them up and down, prompting all sorts of laughter from Ward and the crowd.
The gesture was a reference to the viral “6-7” meme, which first originated from a drill rap track by artist Skrilla, where the lyric “six-seven” is repeated multiple times. The meme later gained traction after NBA star LaMelo Ball also adopted the phrase in interviews. Since then, the meme has exploded on social media platforms, where netizens humorously use it to indicate confidence, style, or simply to join in on the joke.
The 67 meme or the 6-7 song, refers to a track by Skirlla, titled Doot Doot which came out in December 2024, and soon was popularized thanks to Instagram and TikTok reels in January 2025 and ‘6-7’ is repeated throughout the song and refers to the 67th Street in Chicago.
