Asad Ahmad is a well-known English journalist and the lead news presenter for BBC London television news.
Ahmad started working at the BBC News Trainee Scheme and joined BBC Birmingham as a political reporter and presenter. Later, he went to work as a Correspondent and presenter for News night Scotland which is a former current affair television program. As he worked here, he covered the Foot and Mouth outbreak and riots in North of England.
Asad has also worked for BBC London as a reporter for BBC Breakfast and has presented the News round-up on the former current affairs program, Breakfast with Frost. He has also presented rolling news on BBC News with Sian Williams and now works with a team of presenters.
In 2008, Asad was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident that resulted in him having a brain injury. He lost his balance and this resulted in him walking with an aid of a walking stick since he was a risk of being paralyzed.
