The employee unintentionally received a paycheck for 165,398,851 Chilean Pesos, or around $180,000. However, it is important to remember that the employee’s regular pay was close to 500,000 Chilean Pesos, or around $545.
The employee reported the enormous overcharge to his employer after collecting the wage, who subsequently informed Human Resources. After that, the HR Department requested that the employee repay the extra money as soon as possible.
Even though it did not occur, the employee stole the money and even sent his resignation through a lawyer.
