Clarence Thomas has been on the Supreme Court for how long?

Online, there are a lot of calls for impeachment as a result of the Roe v. Wade concurring opinion. Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas recently got into trouble when he published a second opinion about the Roe v. Wade decision. In it, he said that the court should also look at the decisions that protect birth control, relationships between people of the same gender, and same-gender marriage.

Shortly after that, Justice Thomas wrote a solo opinion that said, in part:

“In future cases, we should think about Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell, as well as all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents. Because any substantive due process decision is “demonstrably wrong,” we have a duty to “correct the error” set by those precedents.”

The three cases mentioned in the concurring opinion are Griswold v. Connecticut, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell v. Hodges, which all had important decisions in the past. In 1965, the court ruled in Griswold v. Connecticut that the US Constitution protects the right of married people to buy and use birth control without any government restrictions.

In 2003, the Lawrence v. Texas case ruled that making sodomy a crime was against the Constitution. This meant that same-gender relationships and activities could be legalized all over the country. Last, the Obergefell v. Hodges decision made it legal for people of the same gender to get married in the United States.

Clarence Thomas says that the Supreme Court should overturn Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell, as well as all substantive due process. The fact that this is in an opinion that everyone agrees with shows how bad rights are in the US.

Experts and people in the legal field have been worried for a long time that overturning Roe v. Wade could also hurt the other three important decisions. But in Justice Samuel Alito’s majority opinion, court officials said over and over that overturning Roe v. Wade would not put other court decisions at risk:

“Our decision is only about the right to have an abortion, which is in the Constitution. Nothing in this opinion should be taken as a reason to question past decisions that don’t have to do with abortion.

In response, the liberal side of the court said that the guarantee was “unsatisfactory,” especially after Clarence Thomas’ concurring opinion:

“The first problem with the majority’s story is that Thomas agrees with it, which shows that he is not on board with the plan. At least one justice plans to use the ticket of today’s decision over and over again.”

If he doesn’t, his failure to report income from right-wing groups, his refusal to step aside from matters involving his wife, and his vote to keep key information from the Jan. 6th commission must be looked into, and it could.

As of right now, no other justice has agreed with what Clarence Thomas said. Several people have called for him to be removed from his job because of this opinion.

Thomas has been an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court since 1991, when President George H. W. Bush chose him to replace Thurgood Marshall. He has been in this position for almost 30 years.

Netizens want the U.S. Supreme Court to remove Clarence Thomas from his position.

The historic decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade was a win for Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, who has fought for a decision against abortion for a long time.

As the person who has been on the court the longest, Thomas is the only one left who was there for the historic Planned Parenthood v. Casey ruling in 1992. During the case, the court said that Roe v. Wade’s “essential holding” still stands.

At the time, the opinion was written by Justices Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy, and David Souter. Justices Harry Blackmun and John Paul Stevens also wrote their own opinions, which they agreed with.

At the same time, Chief Justice William Rehnquist, Justices Antonin Scalia and Byron White, along with Clarence Thomas, were against the opinion. In his writings as a judge, he has kept challenging the Roe v. Wade decision over the years.

As soon as the U.S. Supreme Court finally overturned Roe v. Wade, Thomas started making fun of landmark decisions like birth control, same-gender relationships, and marriage between people of the same gender.

As a result, many people took to social media to demand that Thomas be removed from the Supreme Court.

Start an impeachment investigation into Clarence Thomas to find out if he was part of a plot to overthrow our democracy.

I want the US House of Representatives to bring charges of abuse of power and violation of human rights against Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Amy Coney-Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and John Roberts.

Congress could start looking into Ginni’s treason and Clarence’s role right now, which could lead to an impeachment of Clarence Thomas. Make it so. We should fight against this fake court from all sides.

Even before the controversy about his Roe v. Wade concurring opinion, an online petition to impeach Clarence Thomas was already out there.

The idea of impeaching him became more popular after the House Select Committee looking into the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6 said it found several emails between Thomas’s wife, Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, and conservative lawyer John Eastman.

The tennis world reacts to the US Supreme Court’s decision on abortion: “Today is a very sad day for our country, and I can’t believe history is repeating itself again.”

What will happen if Roe vs. Wade is thrown out? As the US Supreme Court makes a decision, its meaning and importance are looked at.

People say that Eastman is the “architect” of the plan to try to change the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential elections. After the news came out, the petition gave more support to the idea that Clarence Thomas should be removed from the U.S. Supreme Court or impeached.

As online calls to impeach Thomas keep going around, it remains to be seen if the Associate Justice will talk about the situation and controversy in the coming days.
