A bit of news from South Arabia has made its way into the headlines. Yes, the Saudi Arabian government recently revealed some details about the final Hajj in 2022. Hajj is a religious obligation for Muslims, as we all know. It is an annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which is considered the holiest city in Islam. Every year, a large number of Muslims participate in this pilgrimage, yet getting there is difficult for any Muslim pilgrim. It doesn’t mean that if you wish to attend in a given year, you may just go; you must first register your name.

Hajj Quota For India 2022

The Saudi Arabian government just revealed the final Hajj 2022 on Friday, announcing that 55164 hopefuls will do the pilgrimage from India this year, with 5196 pilgrims performing the sacred trek Jammu and Kashmir UT. After a two-year wait, the Saudi government announced the quota, permitting Hajj in 2022. Due to the Covid epidemic, Hajj for international pilgrims was halted in 2021 and 2022. Saudi Arabia’s government also announced that one million individuals will perform Hajj this year.

Saudi Govt Announces Hajj Quota For India 2022

According to Aijaz Hussain, a member of the Central Haj Committee and an engineer, 5196 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir would perform Hajj. “In India as a whole, 55164 hopefuls are qualified to leave on the holy pilgrimage,” he stated. He also stated that Uttar Pradesh has earned the largest quota this year, with over 8000 persons planning to travel to Mecca for the Hajj. He stated that the first Hajj flight from Jammu and Kashmir will depart on May 31, 2018. All arrangements would be made to make it as easy as possible for Hajis to travel from the Hajj home to Srinagar International Airport.

In a meeting held in Delhi, he stated that the arrangements for Zone 1 States/UTs were discussed and the final shape was given to the arrangements. “All preparations are being put in place for the seamless departure of Hajj aircraft from J&K and the rest of the Indian States,” said Er. Aijaz, who was recently appointed to the Central Hajj Committee of India. In addition, the Saudi government has placed an age limit for all pilgrims, stating that only those under the age of 65 will be allowed to perform the Hajj in 2022. After the Saudi government announced an age limit, the Jammu & Kashmir Committee extended the deadline, and April 22 was set as the deadline for submitting Hajj forms.
