In her cover interview for the October issue of Vogue, Jennifer Lawrence opens up about motherhood, politics, and a certain right-wing political commentator that causes her to have recurring nightmares.

Born into a Republican family in Kentucky, Lawrence has long struggled with her family’s views on politics. She even revealed she has had nightmares about Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Jennifer Lawrence has had nightmares about Tucker Carlson

The 32-year-old actress spoke a lot about politics in the interview and revealed that her feelings against conservative politics even creep into her dreams.

Lawrence told the magazine that she has even spoken with her therapist about a recurring nightmare she has that involves popular commentator, Tucker Carlson.

Lawrence briefly spoke about the 2016 election, which caused a slight rift among her family: “It breaks my heart because America had the choice between a woman and a dangerous, dangerous jar of mayonnaise. And they were like, ‘Well, we can’t have a woman. Let’s go with the jar of mayonnaise.’”

She specifically raised the issue she has with her father supporting Trump, revealing: “I just worked so hard in the last five years to forgive my dad and my family and try to understand: It’s different. The information they are getting is different. Their life is different.”

Tucker Carlson responds to Jennifer Lawrence’s nightmare claims

The Fox News host has clearly heard about his shout-out in Lawrence’s interview and could not resist responding to the claims.

Carlson said on air: “When you decide to work on television, you lose control of a lot of things. Foremost, the way other people perceive you. So can it really be your fault, are you really responsible, if major Hollywood starlets dream about you?”

He then pulled out a pair of black glasses and put them on. “Maybe it’s the sexy glasses,” he joked.

Carlson’s fellow colleague, Trace Gallagher, then quipped: “Jennifer Lawrence sees you in her head at night, the nightmares when she sleeps. She is likely not watching you now, but her parents are probably watching you because they are fans.”

Carlson then concluded: “So she has nightmares about us, nightmares.” Adding, “We are flattered. Can’t help it if they dream about you.”

The couple decided on their son’s name Cy, after the postwar American painter Cy Twombly. He happens to be one of gallerist Cooke’s favorite artists.

Gushing that she has fallen in love with being a mom, Lawerence admitted it was ‘scary’ to talk about at first. This is because the journey of motherhood looks different to everybody. However, she has finally shared how happy she is in her little family.
