Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, 25, has followed in her 64-year-old mother’s footsteps as she ventures into the music industry and releases her debut single and music video.
Madonna is a seven-time Grammy-winning artist and international star who has undeniably made an everlasting imprint in pop culture.
Though they are big boots to step into, her 25-year-old daughter has taken the plunge and shared her first music track with the world.
On Wednesday, August 24, Lourdes shared a track called Lock&Key, which she released under the moniker Lolahol.

Madonna’s daughter follows her into music industry
The newbie singer wrote the song alongside Eartheater and the 25-year-old professional dancer also choreographed the whole music video herself.
In the grunge-inspired music video, Lourdes looks the spitting image of her mom, as she has a face full of makeup paired with a ton of outfit changes, including a racy silver co-ord, complete with cleavage covers. We see her travel through New York City, take a trip to the beach, and chill in a cemetery as she lip-syncs the song.
Madonna made sure to use her platform to promote her daughter’s new song on her Instagram Story, writing, “I am so proud of you Lola!”
Lourdes has a change in career
It appears Leon has done a 180 turn since her 2021 conversation with Debi Mazar for Interview magazine. The newcomer revealed at the time that music wasn’t for her: “As for music, I can sing. I just don’t care about it. Maybe it’s too close to home.”
Instead, Lourdes went to college to study dance and even began a modeling career, she has done multiple campaigns including some for Marc Jacobs, Mugler, Swarovski, Calvin Klein, Barragán, and others. Speaking of her experience in the modeling world she told Mazar: “I enjoy being very hands-on with the campaigns I do, so that I’m not just modeling, per se.”
However, Leon is now ready to start her music career as she delves into the family business. Prior to her own debut release, she had appeared on her mother’s 2012 song “Superstar”.
Who is Lourdes Leon?
Lourdes Leon is Madonna’s eldest daughte but she also has three other daughters, Mercy, Estere, and Stella, and two sons, Rocco and David.
Lourdes is Madonna’s only child with her ex, Carlos Leon, the couple welcomed her in 1996 but split up when she was just a few months old.
Interestingly, Lourdes and Timothee Chalamet attended the same high school together, LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Lourdes revealed that Chalamet was her first boyfriend.
Following high school, she studied for four years at the University of Michigan from 2014 to 2018, where her mom also attended. The actress then entered the modeling world as she made her runway debut in 2018 at NYFW for Gypsy Sport.
