Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared to be distracted by Lauren Sanchez’s appearance while seated next to Jeff Bezos’ fiancée during the inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump.
The inauguration, held on January 20, was marked by numerous moments that gained significant attention, overshadowing the primary proceedings. One notable incident involved Zuckerberg seemingly glancing at Sanchez, who was seated beside him and her fiancé, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, in the Capitol Rotunda in Washington, DC.
Sanchez donned a striking white Alexander McQueen pantsuit, complemented by a lace bustier that was visible beneath the outfit. In contrast, Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, was positioned on his other side, dressed in a more modest cardigan.
Clips capturing Zuckerberg’s apparent distraction quickly circulated on social media, leading to a flurry of commentary, with many humorously suggesting that Zuckerberg “is human after all,” while others labeled him as “a dog.”
Notwithstanding the attention surrounding the incident, both Sanchez and Zuckerberg maintained a cheerful demeanor throughout the ceremony. Among the other notable attendees were Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Tesla’s Elon Musk.
Carrie Underwood delivered a captivating cappella performance of “America the Beautiful,” despite encountering a technical issue, while Christopher Macchio sang the National Anthem. In his address, Trump vowed to restore America to its “golden age.”
