Gonzalo Lopez, an escaped prisoner, was apprehended on Thursday in Atascosa County, more than 250 miles from where he ran from a prison bus on May 12. Lopez is accused of killing a Houston family, one adult, and four children, including Waylon Collins of Tomball High School, according to authorities.

According to officials, he was being transported in a caged area of the prison bus when he broke free, cut through the metal, and crawled out of the bottom of the cage.
