A well-known former swim coach named Dick Caine will go to court on Wednesday afternoon. He is accused of sexually abusing two teenage girls in the 1970s.
He was caught at his home in Condell Park on Wednesday morning. This was the end of an operation that started in January 2021 when one of his victims told police what he had done.
Authorities say that the investigation found a second victim, and both of them took swim lessons with him at Carss Park Swimming Pool.

Dick Caine is arrested on six counts of teaching a young girl between the ages of 10 and 17 about sexual acts. He is being charged with three counts of sex assault.
At the time of the alleged crimes, carnal knowledge was a crime under the Crimes Act, which meant that a person had tried to sexually assault another person.
He was said to have been denied bail and told to go to Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday.
Acting Superintendent of the Kings Cross Police Area, Chris Nicholson, said that the girls were 16 and 17 years old.
“I want to thank the victims who have come forward about this incident for their courage and strength,” he said. “It is never easy for someone who has been sexually abused to tell the police what happened.”
In the 1970s, the minors were abused sexually for almost 18 months at different places in and around the south of Sydney.

Since Caine was the head coach, sports professionals like Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Fenech, and Sonny Bill Williams have used the pool and gym at Carrs Park.
