Zaila Avant-garde unquestionably has a love and thirst for knowledge, believing in going after exactly what she wants. And now, the incredibly talented 15-year-old is going to inspire other young people to follow in her footsteps as she has become the first U.S. Ambassador for the global tech company, BYJU’S.

Zalia is not just the U.S. Ambassador for BYJU’S program, she is also a student. She is currently enrolled in coding and music classes.

If you remember, Zalia made history as the first African-American winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg of accomplishments for this young phenom. She is also a two-time Guinness World Record holder, being hailed a true basketball prodigy. One record she received for the most bounce juggles in one minute with four basketballs and one for the most basketballs dribbled at once by one person, with six basketballs.
Yet, her accolades don’t stop there. Zalia has already received multiple scholarship offers to college, in addition to being named Sports Illustrated’s 2021 SportsKid of the year.
According to PR Newswire, this summer students can join Zalia on Saturday, July 9 where she’ll share her personal strategy for success and empower other kids to never give up on their goals at BYJU’S Summer Camp.
