Police are looking for a 7-year-old girl who was reporting missing this week — but who hasn’t been seen since October 2019.

Manchester police said they received reports that Harmony Montgomery was missing from individuals and the state Division of Children Youth and Families, WBZ reported.

Harmony is described as about 4 feet tall and 50 ponds with blond hair and blue eyes. She is blind in her right eye and should be wearing glasses. The most recent photographs available were taken when she was 5 years old.

“Manchester police became aware of this this week, and I know people are going to say well here it is 2021, almost 2022, and nobody has seen this young girl since late October 2019. So what has happened in the last few years? Fair question. That’s why I’m here today. Because we need assistance. We need help. And we do not have many answers to many questions that we have,” said Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg. “I don’t care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it’s irrelevant – call us.”

Police said they have spoken with all available family members but would not identify which family members those were. They said the girl was last seen in October 2019 when police responded to a call at a house where she was, but they did not describe what that call was about.

Aldenberg told the Union Leader that the case was a top priority for his department but added that investigators just don’t have a lot of information to go on. The girl was last enrolled in school in Massachusetts in 2019, he said, but detectives don’t know what town. He would not say if there were earlier contact with child welfare agencies of if she was the subject of a custody dispute.

“I have detectives working on this that all have children of their own,” Aldenberg said. “I do not doubt their level of commitment.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester police at 603-668-8711 or Detective Jack Dunleavy at 603-792-5561. You can also remain anonymous and call the Manchester Crimeline at 603-624-4040.
