AN EX-ROYAL Marine has revealed he’s being terrorised by vile gangs lobbing bricks and eggs at his home causing an astonishing £550 worth of damage.
Shaun Hillerby, 67, is hosting a Ukrainian refugee at his North Tyneside bungalow – with the pair now living in fear over the sick yobs.
Mr Hillerby said his guest Myroslava Ivanoshke, 50, who fled war torn Ukraine last month, slept in a room that was being pummelled with the debris.
Shaun, from the Whitley Lodge area of Whitley Bay, said: “You’re always waiting for something to happen.
“There’s been five houses on the street that have been egged.
“The police had to tell the local Tesco’s to stop selling eggs to them.”
On one standout occasion the shameless louts were caught by a doorbell camera launching an estate agents sign like a javelin into Shaun’s garden.
They then took off down the road like cowards.
Poor Shaun has also found bricks that have been lobbed at his property, while he regularly finds empty bottles of juice and pop outside his house – which he says are stolen from the local shop.
And because his home backs onto a golf course – the teens gather there in groups of up to 40 to launch attacks on his home.

He says the yobs – aged between 12 and 15 – have now caused over £550 worth of damage to his property after hurling items onto his roof.
What’s more, former roofer Shaun has also had to fork out a further £300 for CCTV cameras and lighting to deter the scallywags.
He has even had to extend the roof to protect his prized £50,000 Land Rover after the teenagers targeted it with their missiles.
It means armed forces veteran is now almost £900 out of pocket thanks to the layabouts’ “pure mindless vandalism” which started in January this year.
He believes he was targeted because he saw the yobs throw bricks at someone else’s property in the estate and told them to pack it in.
But as a result of taking a stand, the unflappable veteran now faces a barrage of verbal abuse when confronting groups of “30 to 40” outside his house.
He even claims the vile teenagers will stick fingers up at him and yell if they see him out in public – all because he stood up to them.
The 67-year-old slammed: “It’s harassment and it isn’t fair for the refugee who lives here.”
The menacing behaviour is also a concern for the 50-year-old Ukrainian because her three children – currently in Warsaw, Poland – are due to join her in the house once they received their visas.
Reflecting on the dire situation, Shaun says the teenagers must be disciplined, saying: “The parents should be wondering where they are and what they’re doing.

“This isn’t kids from a housing estate, it’s a middle class area. They have no control.”
Inspector Jennifer Scott, of Northumbria Police, said: “We know that the anti-social behaviour of a minority can have a truly devastating impact on the lives of those affected.
“We are aware of a number of recent incidents in this area and have been working closely with North Tyneside Council’s Community Protection Team.
“In recent weeks, we have increased officer patrols and the we are working with local schools and head teachers, sharing footage of the offenders, in an attempt to ID those responsible and bring them to justice.
“No one deserves to feel terrorised in their own home we will continue to work closely with our partners and the public.
“We would always encourage victims or anyone concerned with anti-social behaviour to report it to us and we urge anyone with CCTV footage or any information about ASB in the Whitley Lodge area to please speak out.”
