ONE man is dead and two women have been hospitalized in a shooting at a Virginia mall.
Cops rushed to the scene of the shooting at around 6.30pm local time at MacArthur Mall in Norfolk as the search continues for the suspect.

Boone believes the incident was related to an argument about money, and that the victim and suspect are related.
“Two women were taken to SNGH with NLT injuries. Call came in around 6:25 p.m. Please avoid the area while #NPD investigates,” a tweet from the Norfolk Police Department read.
Boone also noted that the two injured women were shot in the ankles.
Their relation, if any, to the suspect is unknown.
Police responded to the 300 block of Monticello Avenue.
Sales associates who work at the mall spoke to WTKR, saying the mall was placed on lockdown
. One associate said employees were told to lock up their Dillard’s store and retreat to the first floor of the store.
Multiple people took to Twitter to share accounts of the shooting.

“There was a shooting in MacArthur mall. My mom is just now being released cuz they locked the customers in the store smh,” wrote one Twitter user.
“It’s shootout inside MacArthur mall. If you know anybody that work there or is shopping their check on em,” another wrote.
‘OMG…there was a shooting at MacArthur Mall just now…Thank God I changed my mind by not going up there,” wrote another.
MacArthur Mall has over 70 stores, shops, and dining options.
The center is supposed to be holding a Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny Experience tomorrow morning.
The site is just half a mile from the fatal Granby Street shooting that claimed the lives of two, including Virginian Pilot reporter Sierra Jenkins, on March 19.
The investigation is ongoing.
