MET Police officer David Carrick has been charged with more rape offences today – bringing the number of allegations against him to 44.
A dozen complainants are now accusing the 47-year-old of offences including sex attacks, prosecutors say.

Carrick, of Stevenage in Hertfordshire, was first charged with raping a woman in a hotel room on September 5 2020 after meeting her on a Tinder date.
Prosecutors revealed in March that he was then facing 41 allegations, including 21 counts of rape.
And today, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it had authorised Hertfordshire Constabulary to charge Carrick with three more counts of rape.
Prosecutors say the three additional counts relate to one new complainant.
They are alleged to have taken place between 2008 and 2009.
Carrick, a serving police officer based within the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at 10am on Friday, May 13.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “We recognise that these are extremely serious and concerning allegations.
“Referrals have been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct as the investigation has progressed.
