When Angelica Hale stepped onto the “America’s Got Talent” stage to sing “Symphony,” she was more nervous than ever. She now found herself in the finals and knew she needed to give it her all if she wanted to walk out as the Season 12 winner. “When I was younger, I was such a perfectionist,” she told The List. “And afterwards, I would always worry about, ‘Oh, no! What did I do wrong?'”
Hale may have ended the competition in second place (just behind ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer), but looking back, she does wish that her 10-year-old self would have been a bit more proud of everything she had accomplished on that stage. “I wish I could have gone back and said, ‘Good job. Now take a rest. You did amazing,'” she told us. “You always gotta remember to do that.”
