There’s absolutely zero doubt that your diet can play a role in how long you live, and in how healthy you are (and feel). Speaking to People in December 2021, White revealed her dietary secret to her longevity, possibly with tongue planted firmly in cheek, doling out a factoid that would make any modern nutritionist wince. “I try to avoid anything green. I think it’s working.”

Elsewhere in the interview, White and her colleagues also spoke of some of the actress’ character traits, some of which may or may not have contributed to her longevity. White herself said she was “born a cockeyed optimist,” a trait she said she inherited from her mother. Meanwhile, her friend Sandra Bullock noted the reckless abandon with which White always lived her life: “She has celebrated every day of her life with humor, kindness and a vodka on ice, toasting to the fact that she’s a badass who has left us all in the dust.”
