Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal may share typecasting woes, mutual love and admiration, and the “Star Wars” universe, but they don’t share Marvel. At least for now, anyway! This year, Isaac gets to take his acting skills to a whole new level. He’s stepping into the role of a man with Dissociative Identity Disorder who is also possessed by an ancient Egyptian God as he tackles the titular role in “Moon Knight.” The series is a Disney+ exclusive, and Isaac is pretty stoked to get into the mind of this challenging character.
Speaking with Empire, Isaac said of the role, “It’s the first legitimate Marvel character-study since ‘Iron Man.’ I thought, ‘Maybe I can hijack this thing. Maybe this is the chance to do something really nutty on a major stage.'” The Guatemalan actor previously starred in the Marvel film “X-Men: Apocalypse” in 2016, but his character’s story was short-lived (via IMDb).
As of right now, “Triple Frontier” is the only time that Isaac and Pascal have starred in a movie together. Hopefully, there will be opportunities in the future for them to put some of that real-life chemistry to use on the big screen. Until then, just keep posting to Instagram, fellas!
