Mick Mars

Mick Mars, the former lead guitarist of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, was born on May 4, 1951, and is now a retired guitarist. He announced his retirement last year October 26th, after his tour. The following day, John 5 took over as lead guitarist in the band Mötley Crüe (which he co-founded).

Robert Alan Deal changed his name to Mick Mars in the early 1970s and formed the band Mötley Crüe with three of his partners, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, and Tommy Lee, in 1981. Mick is well-known for his guitar playing style as well as his stage appearances. He can be seen wearing a cowboy hat or sunglass or black leather clothing, making him look unique but cool.

Mick was suffering from Ankylosing spondylitis, a chronic disease. Despite having this disease, he never used it against his career, but now it seems that it has come to the point where he no longer can ignore it. Mick has given some of the legendary songs with his band, such as Dr. Feelgood, Saint of Los Angeles, and Kickstart my Heart.

Mars’ effort toward his band and his career can never be ignored. He was the lead guitarist for the past 41 years. His journey was not an easy one.

At the age of 16, he dropped out of school to pursue his passion for music. His parents and teachers were not very happy with his decision to drop out, but Mick was confident about it. After leaving school, Mick didn’t get a big shot immediately; he played for California’s small bands to make ends meet. It was only in 1980 that things started working his way. He founded Mötley Crüe along with his other members.

Mick was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in his early 30s. It is a disease that causes spinal bone inflammation and fusion. He has been living with it for decades now. In this, a person suffers from severe pain in the lower back and hips and, in extreme cases, can even lead to Vertebrae fusion.

Mick didn’t let his disease come between him and his career. He used to go on tour with Mötley Crüe and perform on stage, even though there were times when he had to use crutches to stand. He became an inspiration for others who wanted to pursue music but couldn’t because of their illness.

Mick’s determination and passion for music earned him respect. People started respecting him due to his determination. His resilience is liked by people. They like how he stood against all the difficulties that came his way.

After a lot of struggles and an n number of years worth of hard work, Mick has decided to finally step down. The former main guitarist of the band, Mötley Crüe, decided to take retirement. Suffering from a chronic disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis for decades has taken a toll on Mick’s body.

Mick has been suffering from his disease for ages and has never let it get in his way, but now when he couldn’t ignore it, he decided to leave the stage. After hearing this, Mick’s fans worldwide are left with broken hearts. Mars is grateful for all the love that’s been showered upon him by fans over the years.

Even though the 71-year-old, now former guitarist of Mötley Crüe, has decided to step down, but he will still always be a part of the band. He was, he is, and he will be a part of it. Fans are disheartened with the news that they won’t be seeing their favorite Mick Mars performing now. But they are also very supportive of his decision. They understand that Mick’s health matter more.

Mick hasn’t left the music entirely. He will continue to write and record it. This decision of Mick has proved to be providing a lot of satisfaction to his fans; they will still get to listen to Mick.

Deciding on retirement was not an easy decision for Mike. He spent his entire youth making this career, dropping out at the age of 16 and performing for small bands to make ends meet. However, when he couldn’t take the pain anymore, he had to make this decision.

Of course, it will not be easy to suddenly have someone else playing instead of Mick. It will take time to have the same bond with John 5, the new lead guitarist of the band.
