The Ashes 2023

The Ashes feels like a distant memory now. The depths of winter saw England collapse to a 4-0 series in Australia, and that sparked an unlikely revolution that has fans excited about cricket once again.

Joe Root stepped down as captain to be replaced by Ben Stokes, former New Zealand star Brendon McCullum was appointed as the new coach of the team, a number of faces were shipped out and the tide has turned.

From a bleak winter to the glory of summer, England look like a team to be reckoned with once again. The shackles came off at the hosts clean swept world Test champions New Zealand 3-0 before recording their highest ever run chase of 378 to topple India at Edgbaston.

Of course, this isn’t the end of the story. England are neither completely fixed or ready for another slog in The Ashes, but when the next series rolls around, they will be more confident than in a long time.

There’s obviously a whole lot of cricket to come before England get another chance to crack Australia, but the next Ashes series will certainly be in the minds of selectors, coaches and players alike.

RadioTimes.com rounds up everything we know about the next Ashes series including dates, locations and venues.

When is the Ashes next on?

The Ashes will be next competed for in July-September 2023.
