Weeks after the announcement of their separation, Nicole Samuel from Love Island has spoken out regarding her breakup with Ciaran Davies.
The revelation of the split between Love Island runners-up Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies surprised many fans, especially since they appeared to be one of the strongest couples from the eleventh season of the show.

Their breakup marked the end of all couples from that summer’s series, as even the winners, Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan, also ended their relationship.
At the time of the news, a source indicated: “In recent days, Nicole and Ciaran have mutually decided to part ways. They have concluded their relationship amicably and intend to remain good friends moving forward.”
Now, after a period of seven weeks filled with speculation, Nicole has finally addressed their separation publicly for the first time.
In an interview with Fake Bake (as reported by Daily Star), Nicole remarked: “We were fortunate that our breakup was not contentious; there was nothing he did wrong.”
She elaborated on the reasons behind their separation, stating: “I was extremely busy with work, and he had numerous commitments. Once you exit that bubble, reality sets in.
“You experience love in the villa, but then you must get to know each other in the real world. I consider myself fortunate to be okay. We remain friends, and if I encounter him, I will certainly speak to him.”
The couple, who met on Love Island in 2024, were paired together from the second recoupling until the finale.

Despite their separation, they have chosen to keep their shared photos on Instagram, which initially led fans to doubt the authenticity of the breakup news.
Nicole emphasized the amicable nature of their parting, stating: “I hold no resentment towards him and wish him nothing but the best. We simply grew apart, and that is perfectly normal.
“I believe our split disappointed many in Wales, but we are fortunate to have ended things on good terms.”
After their separation, Nicole was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with UFC fighter Oban Elliott. However, a spokesperson for Nicole clarified to the tabloids that their connection is purely platonic.
“Nicole and Oban have maintained a friendship for several years, and their relationship is strictly non-romantic.
“They reside in adjacent towns in South Wales and often encounter each other within the same social circles,” the representative stated.
