The BHA are beefing up Covid-19 protocols with no-one allowed to enter a weighing room from Wednesday without evidence of a negative lateral flow test.
The test must be completed on each day of racing before travelling to the track, with negative results recorded via the NHS app or an NHS email or text.
Some sports have lost fixtures because of the spread of Omicron and the BHA have acted to keep racing going.

Dr Jerry Hill, BHA’s chief medical adviser, said: ‘Racing’s Covid mitigation strategy continues to focus on protecting our business-critical race-day personnel, whose absence due to illness or isolation may result in us struggling to staff fixtures.
‘The introduction of mandatory pre-raceday lateral flow testing for weighing room workers is another important step to help safeguard our people and the racing product.’
