Kevin Conroy Obituary — Kevin Conroy, known for voicing Batman in a variety of animated TV shows, feature films, and video games, has died at the age of 66, according to Warner Bros. Conroy first played Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter-ego in Batman: The Animated Series, which aired from 1992 to 1995.

His performance and the series were so popular with fans that he appeared in a number of animated TV shows and movies, as well as video games such as Arkham Knight and Arkham City, over the years. He most recently reprised his classic role in a 2019 episode of Batwoman.

Conroy was Gay, and Conroy wrote “Finding Batman,” a story that detailed his background and experiences as a homosexual man and was published as part of DC Comics’ 2022 Pride anthology. It was well-received by critics.

Mark Hamill, who has praised working with Conroy, is among the many people who will miss Kevin more than anyone.

Regarding his readiness to participate in a Batman-related film, Hamill stated that whenever the producers give him a job, he inquires whether Kevin will play it.

Additionally, if Kevin were involved in the project, Mark would agree to play the Joker without ever reading the script.

Conroy was born in Westbury, New York, into an Irish Catholic family, and would be 66 years old as of 2022. He moved to Westport, Connecticut, when he was 11 years old.

He relocated to New York City in 1973 after receiving a full scholarship to study Drama at Juilliard under the tutelage of Actor John Houseman.

He shared a room with Kelsey Grammer and Conroy’s groupmate Robin Williams while he was there.

He went on tour with Houseman’s acting troupe, The Acting Company, after earning his degree from Juilliard in 1978. The following year he participated in the national time of Ira Levin’s Deathtrap.

Kevin Conroy is best known as a voice Actor for playing Bruce Wayne/Batman in the acclaimed animated series Batman (1992–1995).

He portrayed Batman in various animated spinoff projects set in the DC Animated Universe (DCAU).

In addition to the movies Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, these spin-offs include the TV shows The New Batman Adventures, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited.

Additionally, he provided the voice of Batman for the DC Animated Universe’s Superman: The Animated Series, Static Shock, and The Zeta Project.
