BRIT holidaymakers have been warned as bars in Majorca face closure this summer.
Party-loving Brits may be disappointed as up to eight venues in popular holiday hotspots Magaluf and Playa de Palma may close.

The bars may close for infractions against the Decree Law on Excessive (booze) Tourism, which was approved by the Balearic Parliament at the beginning of this year, Majorca Bulletin reports.
Spain’s Minister of Tourism Iago Negueruela spoke about the state of tourism in the Balearics and the actions that need to be taken during a press conference on Wednesday.
He noted that eight venues in Mallorca- four in Magaluf and four in Playa de Palma have already received precautionary closure notices adding that a total of 90 warnings have been issued.
He said it is “obvious” that there will continue to be images that “none of us would like to see”, but it is also “true that action is being taken”.

He said: “It is difficult to stop practices dating back 30 years in just two months.
“The regulations are effective and are accompanied by heavy fines.”
The minister also said the country is aiming to tackle excessive booze tourism with the new Law on Excessive Tourism which aims to “banish a series of practices and a specific type of tourism on which action must be taken”.
He added: “Today’s balance sheet is positive, but it remains to be seen how the season ends.

“We are going to act forcefully because our destination has already said enough is enough to a type of tourism.”
The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez, explained that the new law has led to 27 fines being imposed in Magalluf in relation to party boats, opening hours, degrading treatment of women and balconing.
He said: “The area must understand that we are going to be forceful in the application of the decree to improve the destination”.
He noted that the four precautionary closures in Magalluf have been issued for exceeding opening hours and degrading treatment of women.
Palma City Council’s councillor Joana Maria Adrover, said the four proposed closures in Palma are for selling alcohol to minors and outside the established hours.
