Manchester United have been bolstered ahead of their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid with the return of Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw to training.
The pair both missed the Red Devils’ 3-2 Premier League win over Tottenham on Saturday due to coronavirus and there were concerns they could miss Tuesday’s last-16 second leg with Atletico due as a result too.
However, those fears appear to have been allayed after the duo were spotted arriving for training on Monday morning.

Luke Shaw was also spotted doing likewise after missing Saturday’s win vs Tottenham due to it
Fernandes and Shaw drove into the club’s Carrington base as preparations continue for Tuesday night. The Red Devils later confirmed that both did take part in training.
The tie is delicately poised at 1-1 after Anthony Elanga cancelled out Joao Felix’s opener late on to restore parity for United.
Speaking about the availability of Fernandes and Shaw, interim United boss Ralf Rangnick admitted that the former is in a ‘last-minute’ race to be for the return leg at Old Trafford.
‘Luke hopefully will be back in training Monday and Bruno we will have to wait and see until Tuesday,’ he said post-match on Saturday.
‘This will probably be a last-minute race with him – due to Covid-19.
‘We have to be careful with COVID-19 tests. David [de Gea] was the same. David yesterday was out, he was not supposed to play but then it turned out that his first fast test was false.’
If Fernandes did miss out then it would be a big blow to Rangnick with the Portuguese playmkaer having scored nine goals and provided 14 assists so far this season in all competitions.
