SHOTS were fired after a basketball game at a New Mexico high school tonight.
Albuquerque Police Department responded to reports of more than 15 shots fired at Valley High School on Tuesday night around 7:40pm.
The Valley High School Varsity boys basketball team was playing against a rival school when shots were fired in the parking lot.
The public high school in Bernalillo County went on lockdown in the gym.
Police presence was high at the school’s location on 1505 Candelaria NW.
Later, the police said that it was “never an active shooter situation,” according to KOB4.
Casings were found in the parking lot and they’re now being processed.
No one is hurt, and all individuals were cleared from the school.
