“What kind of simp has tinder gold?” asked one TikTok user.

Not everyone was upset with the clip, however, with many praising the idea.

“Aye I’m all for it, willing to get divorced multiple times GREEN CARDS FOR ALL,” said one commenter.

The clip has been viewed more than 3.5million times and gathered thousands of comments.

Paden told The Sun that the posted the video a few days ago “when a lot of these WW3 memes were circulating.”

“I really underestimated the chance that Ukraine would actually be invaded by Russian forces,” he claimed, adding that the screenshot in the clip is from Google images.

“But I have been using a VPN to communicate to Ukrainian people on various apps like Tinder and VRChat, for interviews and multimedia awareness pieces me and some fellow content creators are working on.”

The content creator continued: “That’s the only reason I haven’t taken down the video yet, (as I have acknowledged in the pinned comment has not aged well at all), is to use TikTok’s “Reply” feature to bring viewers to these videos, along with pushing them towards donation/aid links.

“Basically trying to make the best out of a bad joke.”

Indeed, Paden pinned a comment on the viral clip following outrage in the comments as the situation in Ukraine worsened over the last several days.

“This didn’t age well guys 🤷🏻‍♂️much love to the people in the affected areas. These are just jokes but I would love peace 🇺🇦❤️,” Paden wrote.

Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, is currently under attack by groups of Russian troops wearing Ukrainian uniforms in the latest ploy by Vladimir Putin.

At least 137 Ukrainians are already dead across the country at the hands of Putin’s forces after the assault began at 3.30am on Thursday.

Kyiv faces an uncertain future as the country comes under attack from air, land and sea by Russia.
