AN UBER Eats delivery driver is being investigated by cops after £1,000 worth of artwork was stolen from the walls of a block of flats.
The rider allegedly struck while dropping off food and returned five days later for a second haul — pinching 11 film posters and art prints in total.
They included pictures of Spider-Man, Mickey Mouse and boxing champ Muhammad Ali.
Building managers launched an investigation after spotting big gaps on the walls where the metre-tall pieces used to be.
After trawling through CCTV footage, they spotted the suspected thief.
He was carrying a Deliveroo bag — but the firm has no record of any deliveries.
Enquiries have suggested the suspect worked for Uber Eats at the time of the incident.
A source said: “Residents alerted us to the fact that some of the artworks had gone missing, so the CCTV was looked at.
“This guy has taken lots of posters and damaged the frames too when removing them.
“It’s just so shameless in full view of the cameras.”
The man took one frame on January 10 around 3.20am at The Hub, in Wood Green, North London and returned twice on January 15.
An Uber Eats spokesman said: “We are in contact with the police regarding this incident.”
