Londoners are officially the nation’s biggest vapers, consuming the most e-liquid and spending the most on vaping.
Tobacco, mango, and mint flavours proved to be the most popular in the capital. Tobacco was also the most popular variety in the East Midlands, North East, Scotland and Wales.
Meanwhile, vapers in the North West, Northern Ireland, South East, and South West have a sweeter tooth, with strawberry-flavoured e-liquid being the most popular.
Disposable vapes, which are relatively new to the market, are especially popular among nicotine consumers in the West Midlands, with 84 per cent of vaper users in that location having tried them.

A spokesperson for Vuse, a vape company which commissioned the research, said that “The number of adult vape users has increased substantially during the past 10 years.
“And sales of newer products like disposable vapes are also on the rise, while there’s a host of different flavours available to purchase.
“So, it’s interesting to see how adult vape users in different regions vary area to area in terms of usage and preferences.”
The study also revealed some interesting details about how vapers across the nation are using their devices.

Four in ten users across the UK tend to stick with the same flavour, while only three in ten like to change it up.
The most fickle area was the North East, where 46 per cent say they like to switch flavours. Meanwhile, the most loyal vapers are in East Anglia where 60 per cent consistently choose the same flavour.
Across the country, vape users are also split over whether to step outside for a puff. Only a third say they prefer to step outside for a nicotine hit, while another third say that they would prefer to stay inside where they are allowed.
A spokesperson for Vuse, which has launched a disposable vape, Vuse Go, added: “As the research shows, adult nicotine consumers vape for a variety of reasons.
“And they also use vape differently – with the findings suggesting this varies quite distinctly region to region.”
