A WOMAN is due to stand trial accused of murdering her boyfriend by mowing him down in a Ford Fiesta.
Alice Wood, 22, is charged with murdering Ryan Watson, 24, who was hit by a black Ford Fiesta Zetec in Rode Heath near Alsager, Cheshire.

Police said he was walking on the A533 Sandbach Road at around 11.40pm on May 6 when he was struck by the car.
Wood, who appeared at Chester Crown Court via videolink from HMP Styal today, will go on trial later this year.
She spoke only to confirm her name and to enter a not guilty plea.
Judge Steven Everett, the Honorary Recorder of Chester, set the date of her trial for November 7.

Wood, from Cheadle, Staffs., was remanded in custody.
Paying tribute, Ryan’s family said he was the “light of our lives” and the “life and soul of everything he did”.
They said: “Ryan was the light of all our lives and we will forever miss him and love him more than words can say.
“He was an extremely kind and caring individual who loved his family and friends. All his best friends and everyone he met will have wonderful lasting memories of laughter and great times.
