Greta Thunberg joins the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) raid
Renowned social activist Greta Thunberg recently participated in Madleen’s mission to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. She joined a coalition of international activists on board the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), which the Israeli forces intercepted in international waters. After intercepting it, the IDF later diverted it to Israel, and the Israeli Foreign Ministry later released footage showing passengers, including Thunberg and European Parliament member Rima Hassan, wearing life jackets with their hands raised.
Hassan went on to post images from the ship, claiming that Israeli forces “kidnapped” everyone on board. Israeli officials have since come out and dismissed the kidnapping claim, stating that the flotilla had violated security regulations and that they had held all passengers for processing. The controversial raid has since drawn widespread international attention.
