Chris Pratt said his love for Anna Faris was basically love at first sight. The pair met as co-stars on the set of the 2007 comedy film “Take Me Home Tonight.” Though Faris was married to actor Ben Indra at the time, Pratt said he knew instantly she was the one. “I knew I wanted to marry her pretty soon [after I met her,]” Pratt told People. “It took a while for me to admit it, because it would be crazy to be like, ‘I want to marry you’ the first day I met her. But I could have!”
Pratt said he and Farris were “meant to be together” during an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, according to Who. “Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny, just as much as my crazy career and the way I fell into this life,” he said. Because it seemed Pratt believed his marriage to Faris was fate, it hurt the star to move forward with their separation beginning in 2017.
”Divorce sucks,” Pratt said of his split from Faris to Entertainment Weekly. “… we’re finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another.” While the breakup stung, Pratt added that it was ultimately their best option. “It’s not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better.”
