If you’re trying to find a good home for a rescue puppy, we can’t think of anywhere to get more exposure than the Oscars. It’s no wonder, then, that the puppy Jamie Lee Curtis brought on stage during the Betty White memorial was scooped up immediately by a famous face. John Travolta announced the news on his Instagram on March 28 that his son Ben is the lucky new pet dad to Mac N Cheese. Alongside a photo of himself, Ben, and the now-famous pooch, Travolta wrote in the caption, “Ben adopted this dog from last nights Oscar tribute to Betty White.” The actor also shouted out thank-yous to Curtis and Paw Works, the animal rescue non-profit that Mac N Cheese came from.

Paw Works reposted Travolta’s Instagram, writing, “On a night of winners and losers, we think Mac N Cheese is the biggest winner of all!” The caption continued, “We know [Betty White] was shining down last night. Happy life little lady.” White is remembered not just for her numerous contributions to the screen, but also for her lifelong animal welfare activism, specifically the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, per People. We’re glad to see White’s animal-loving legacy live on.
