Occasionally, real life imitates art — and Adam Driver’s time with Daisy Ridley on the set of “Star Wars” blossomed into a full-fledged friendship. Their playful dynamic was fully apparent in a 2017 interview with V Magazine, during which both actors interviewed each other, rather than answering questions from a third party. At one point in the article, Ridley mentioned that she and Driver “became besties last year,” which is unusual because she typically feels uncomfortable meeting new people. Driver responded that she “always seemed very open” and closed the interview by calling his co-star “brilliant.”

The love fest didn’t end there, either! During a 2017 interview with Oh My Disney, Ridley raved about Driver’s acting skills. Likewise, Driver returned the compliment, telling the host that working with Ridley was a wonderful experience. “She’s such an emotionally available person … It’s easy to be in scenes with her because I could listen to her all day. She has great instincts,” he gushed. “[Driver] is so amazing in [“The Last Jedi”],” Ridley added. “Seriously, I can’t speak highly enough about him. In the very basic sense of it all, he is the most amazing scene partner.” While they might not share the romantic relationship that their characters do — Driver is married to Joanne Tucker, while Ridley has been linked with actor Tom Bateman since 2017 — it’s clear there’s nothing but love between these two.
