Mike Norvell & Maria Norvell — Mike is a former head coach at Memphis and is now the head coach at Florida State. He has also served as head coach at Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Tulsa, and Central Arkansas, among other schools.
On December 4, 2015, Norvell was named the 24th head football coach of the Memphis Tigers. At the time, he was the country’s youngest FBS head coach (aged 34).
From 2001 to 2005, the coach was a wide receiver at the University of Central Arkansas. He holds the school record for receptions with 15 receiving touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, two passing touchdowns, 213 pass receptions for 2,611 yards, and 15 touchdowns.

Maria Norvell received her Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2005. She is married to Florida State head coach Mike Norvell. Because she prefers to maintain a low profile, little is known about her background.
Norvell began working in human resources at a company called Target in 2005. She worked for the company for a year. She worked as an Accounts Service Manager for Mail South for a year before leaving. Maria has been the assistant director of alumni and development at Cascia Hall Preparatory School for the past 15 years. She has been with the institute since July 2007, when she began working there.
