Germany’s home base for the Qatar World Cup

The team’s manager, Hansi Flick, spoke about their “temporary home” in Qatar. Flick talked about the fact that the team’s training ground is merely minutes away from their hotel and the relaxed environment at the hotel will make for a good vibe all around the team.

“We are only a short drive from Al Shamal’s training ground, and the fantastic conditions there will allow us to focus and to train intensively, and there is a wonderfully relaxed environment at the hotel. Those are the most important things for me as head coach,” Flick said.

Flick has won every trophy in club football during his short stint with Bayern Munich. He helped the Bavarians win a treble in 2020 and dominated the UCL. German fans would hope for a similar performance from their manager.

Hansi Flick can now focus on football

They can rest easy as Flick added that the team can now focus on the football that the German national side will play. However, Germany are playing in the UEFA Nations League before that and Flick mentioned that he’ll use those games to find his perfect eleven.

We have exciting UEFA Nations League games against England, Italy, and Hungary in June and September, and they will help ensure we are prepared for the start of the World Cup,” he added.
