Novak Djokovic was on a roll during the 2021 season. He had won the Australian Open, the French Open, and the Wimbledon Championships. However, a title missing from his trophy cabinet was an Olympic gold medal. He was on course to achieve that dream and was one of the favorites for the biggest prize at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

However, his dream crashed when he lost against Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the semifinals. Subsequently, he even went on to lose the bronze medal match against Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain. Recently, he revealed how winning an Olympic gold medal for Serbia has been his unfulfilled dream.

Novak Djokovic hopes to find success at Paris 2024 Olympics

During an interview after his Wimbledon victory, the Serb talked about his aspirations for winning a gold medal for Serbia at the Olympics. He said, “Yes, somehow it’s been coming in cycles for 10 years, that gold medal for Serbia is missing. I dream about it, the reason I didn’t get to it is maybe that I was stressing too much about it. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future.”

I don’t have a limit and a limit when I would like to finish.”
