Arnold Schwarzenegger is inarguably the most popular action hero to ever exist. In the 80s and 90s, the former Mr. Olympia was every person’s first choice of action hero. Starring in films such as Terminator, Predator, Conan the Barbarian, Commando, and many more, he was a perfect role model for action film enthusiasts.

The 75-year-old is currently away from his action days but is enjoying life. A former governor for the state of California, Schwarzenegger has tried his hands at various other areas of life as well. During a SmackDown edition of 1999, the actor made his presence felt when he appeared on the show.

In a video posted by WWE, several current and former WWE superstars gave their opinion about the Terminator actor. The WWE superstars, including Randy Orton, spoke about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1999 SmackDown appearance. The Apex predator of WWE had a very interesting opinion on Arnold Schwarzenegger. He said, “If you ask me who my idol was, it wasn’t Hulk Hogan. It was Arnold Schwarzenegger.”

For many people, Hulk Hogan used to be their idol, but not for Randy Orton. The former WWE world champion continued, “So when I saw Arnold be a part of SmackDown, that was huge.

The video also featured Orton performing a hilarious impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger as well. Several other superstars such as Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, and Big Show also gave their opinion about the 1997 appearance. Ziggler said, “Arnold shows that, when you bring someone over, they are happy to be a part of it. They can make a great impact.”

The 1999 episode of SmackDown wasn’t the only time Arnold Schwarzenegger made his presence known in the WWE. He would come back several times later in the future. He was inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame and appeared as a playable character in WWE 2k16.

The actor also made an appearance in WWE in a segment comprising both Hulk Hogan and Joe Manganiello. Arnold Schwarzenegger still is one of the most recognized faces in the world and is an icon of bodybuilding. Though it is still not known whether he will make any future appearances for WWE. However, with Triple H now in charge, we might witness Arnold back in the WWE ring again for a cameo role.
