With Nintendo renewing the trademark for StartTropics, fans have started making theories about a classic remake.

Nintendo has renewed a Switch-related trademark!
In the past few days, Resetera users have spotted Nintendo’s reservation related to Switch. The franchise has filed a trademark in Europe under the name ‘NSW.’ NSW is the Japanese Giant’s shorthand for Nintendo Switch.
But does it mean that the franchise is planning for something new? Well, for speculations we feel that Nintendo might tease a Lite or Pro version of the Nintendo Switch. After all, rumors have swirled accords the internet claiming of the production of Nintendo Switch 2.
Apart from that, NintendoLife had reported about the company renewing a bunch of trademarks in 2021. To mention names, Nintendo had safely locked titles such as The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Donkey Kong. So, if not a new console, it won’t be wrong to predict that we could see something related to this. Ultimately, these are Nintendo Switch titles, so the NSW trademark could revolve around this.
