Such has been the case with the Japanese video game industry, who’s got their eyes fixed on developing blockchain games.  

Sega, Bandai Namco, and others reveal secrets about developing blockchain-inspired video games 

For the past few years, the crypto markets have been trending throughout as users have invested millions into them. This has also helped in the massive rise of blockchain, as crypto gens have used it to create the perfect technology. Along with that, users have also witnessed the release of various blockchain-related games, allowing them to earn shiny rewards for a few challenges.

As a result, the industry’s success has grabbed the attention of Japanese video game developers, who have their eyes fixed on venturing into the business. Oasys representative director Ryo Matsubara revealed this information in conversation with CoinTelegraph at the 2022 Tokyo Games Show last week. He claimed that Japanese giants like Bandai Namco, Sega, and Square Enix are not just walking into the business but also planning a long-term move.

“We have a shared vision about blockchain at the executive level. They don’t [want to] change that policy. They really understand the future adoption of blockchain. They’re not thinking about, you know, just the revenue, they want to create the next future [of gaming],” the director said while talking about the companies. 

Apart from this, Ryo also claimed that these giants will aim to publish new titles, as they have a basic idea of how the industry works.
