At 40, Serena Williams is gunning for glory! The American legend is eying another Grand Slam title that will see her level Margaret Court’s record of 24 major titles. She has left behind her injury struggles to return to the tennis court. Determined as ever, the former World Number 1 is hoping to put on a good show in the upcoming hard-court season.

Further, Serena made a comeback last season after a lengthy injury layoff. She had suffered a hamstring injury at Wimbledon last season that kept her away from tennis for around a year. She made a comeback at Eastbourne International, playing in doubles with Ons Jabeur. Subsequently, she received a wildcard entry to participate in the Wimbledon Championships. Recently, Serena displayed a gift from her husband, Alexis Ohanian.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion took to Instagram to display the hard court built by Alexis. Sharing a story on her official Instagram handle, she posted a picture of the hard court that Alexis had built to enable his wife to practice. Reacting to a fan’s tweet about this, Alexis said, “Yes. Official US Open surface, too!”

Serena was seen in an intense practice session here. She is determined to put up a good show in the upcoming hard-court tournaments after a disappointing Wimbledon campaign.
