American legendary tennis player Chris Evert often uses her social media to express her opinion about tennis and other things. In recent times, she defended a few tennis players like Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu, as she slammed their haters.

Previously, she praised the likes of Andy Murray and his fighting spirit, even at this age. Interestingly, the 7-time French Open champion once hailed the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, for her amazing tennis prowess.

Last year, British star Emma Raducanu shocked the world by winning the US Open as a qualifier. After her amazing victory, the Royal family congratulated the young Brit for her success on US soil. After Raducanu’s win, Middleton visited her in the National Tennis Centre in southwest London.

Along with Raducanu, there were a few other tennis players as well, including Joe Salisbury, Gordon Reid, and others. They all had a fun doubles match and Middleton partnered with Raducanu. Speaking about Middleton’s tennis prowess, Raducanu said to reporters, “her forehand is incredible.”

Evert once defended Raducanu

After winning the US Open in 2021, Raducanu’s performance went downhill. Moreover, she suffered from multiple injuries this season, which also cost her the chance to compete in many tournaments.

It is also worth noting that Raducanu has received many endorsements and deals after the US Open success, which brought out the criticisms of many fans on social media. At that time, Evert slammed her critics, and tweeted, “And the doubters think Emma is more focused on endorsements and appearances? I don’t think so…”

Currently, Raducanu is in the US, preparing to defend her title at the US Open this year. Before that, she will play at the Cincinnati Masters, where she will face the 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, in the opening match.
