Tennis legends Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are two of the most experienced players on the tour right now. While Djokovic started his career back in 2003 at the young age of 20. Nadal started a bit early in April 2002. However, both the players rose to prominence in an almost similar time frame.

Given their records, they along with Roger Federer form the big three. Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer were in a neck-to-neck competition for winning the most number of Grand Slam titles. However, Nadal recently left the other two behind by winning his 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open at the start of this year.

Recently an old video of Nadal and Djokovic resurfaced on the internet. in the video, both the players show the content of their respective bags. The video will surely bring back nostalgic memories from their early days.

What’s inside Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic’s Bag?

In the video, we can see young Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal showing different contents of their bag. While there are some common things in both their bags, like the tennis rackets and extra pair of clothes for practice, there were some unique and special things too.

While Nadal had a headphone, which he uses to listen to music before the match. he has a special edition bag with 5 different rackets that he uses for playing.

“Starting with my bag, it’s a Babolat special 135-year edition. The rackets normally I have six. I normally start to play with the number 1 and I finish with number 6. I have the shoes, relaxing shoes. Clothes for the practice, if it is a hot day like today, I have to change. socks too. I listen to music before every match.” He said.

Talking about the special thing Djokovic carries in his bag, he has a tiny racket, his driving license, a Serbian hat, a camera, and an iPod gifted by his brothers.

“We’ll start with rackets, so firstly strong this one is not. And I got a small one here. In case I don’t feel good with the big one, I can take the small one. Serbian hat, let’s put it on. My driving license I am allowed to drive trucks, ships, planes whatever. A camera in case I have some interesting things to record. Have a little iPod here. My brothers gave me this iPod with initials to the best brother in the world.” He said.

Nadal to clash with Djokovic in the quarterfinals of French Open 2022

Both Nadal and Djokovic have advanced to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Roland Garros and are set to take the court against each other tomorrow.
