The two giants first fought in September 2021 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. It was billed as ‘The Perfect Storm’, and the fight truly lived up to the expectations. After a brutal showdown, the Ukrainian fighter outclassed AJ and emerged as the winner. 

Moreover, the first bout had made it certain that a rematch was required. The fight was originally scheduled for May, but it was delayed. The Ukraine-Russia crisis was the cause, which compelled Usyk to return home and defend his nation.

Additionally, Usyk was given clearance by the nation’s sports minister to resume training for his match with AJ. The two are now prepared to present a historic clash to the globe.
