At first, it is hard to believe that how can an adult who is a professional sports player do such a childish act? But that is exactly what happened during the pregame session on Friday.

The Reds removed Tommy Pham from the lineup after his beef with Joc Pederson

Per C. Trent Rosecrans and Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic, Pederson, and Pham had the beef started from a group chat over a fantasy football league. This group includes various MLB players from several teams.

After the incident, players and staff of both teams rushed toward Pham and Pederson, shortly after their altercation. Being a veteran player, Tommy Pham was in the lineup to face the Giants. But the Giants asked the Peds to remove him from the game, which the Reds denied.

However, when the rain stopped after delaying the game for over two hours, the Reds replaced Pham with Alejo Lopez.

The Giants manager on the Pham-Pederson issue

While addressing the media before the game, the Giants manager Gabe Kapler said that they are investigating the matter between Tommy Pham and Joc Pederson.

“We’re investigating and learning as much as we can about the incident,” Kapler said. “I don’t have much more for you than that right now. I sense that we’ll have a clearer understanding after the game.”

“Again, still looking into it. Taking it very seriously and learning as much as I and we can as quickly as we can. Not yet prepared to discuss it.”

Talking about the SF Giants, they are probably in the toughest division. Despite playing some good baseball, they are still third in the NL West. Whereas, the Reds are going through a rough season. They are currently in the last position in their division, NL Central.

Though the entire incident is still a mystery, who do you think is to blame, Pham or Pederson?
