ANT and Dec were left red faced after they made an on stage blunder following their BAFTA win.
The Geordie duo were the first winners of the evening at tonight’s ceremony, which took place at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Ant and Dec won in the Entertainment Programme category for Saturday Night Takeaway, beating Strictly Come Dancing, Life & Rhymes and An Audience with Adele.
After heading up on stage and accepting the award, Ant said: “What a great start to the night.”
This is the fourth time the presenters have won the category but Dec said they hadn’t assumed they would win again tonight.
He added: “We were convinced we weren’t going to get it this year so we came for a bit of a party.”
Ant said: “We love doing it, we still love doing it.”
The pair then headed off stage, and viewers at home were unaware of the blunder that happened next.
As they headed to the back of the stage, they seemed unsure of how to exit.
Ant said: “Well that’s awkward isn’t it.”
