THE Apprentice candidates are given just 20 minutes at 4am to get dressed for the show’s tasks, according to one of this year’s contestants.
Sophie Wilding, 32, has told fans that they have less than half an hour to make themselves presentable before facing Lord Alan Sugar at the crack of dawn.
The cocktail bar owner has also confirmed that the business hopefuls have zero help when it comes to hair and make-up.
Sophie, from Cheltenham, spilled the beans during a Q&A with fans on her Instagram page.
She was asked by one Apprentice viewer: “Do they really give you just 5 mins to get ready on the show on the wake up call?”
Sophie replied: “You have 20 mins to get ready usually from the call & it’s around 4am…
“No one helps with make up or hair! You do everything yourself & quickly!
“I actually don’t take long to get ready anyway! So it wasn’t too bad!”
Sophie has also revealed that the boardroom scenes, filmed with Lord Sugar and his aides – Karren Brady and Tim Campbell – can take a gruelling two hours to shoot.
This is then cut down to just 25 minutes of airtime during the second half of the weekly episodes.
Sophie admitted to another fan that the girls would fight for seats – as some candidates have to stand in the early episodes – and that her leg once cramped up.
When asked how long they were usually in the boardroom for, Sophie replied: “I’m sure it was about 2 hours!
“All the girls always wanted to be sat down. Once my leg had cramp and I could leave the room!”
The hit BBC One show gives contestants the chance to bag a whopping £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.
There are currently 11 candidates left in their year’s series, including Sophie.
Contestants in the past have also claimed the show has a sex ban in place, with Lord Sugar insisting it is “not Love Island”, and that his witty gags are scripted.
