NINETIES TV drama lovers will be all too familiar with the infamous ITV series, Bad Girls.
First airing in June 1999, the hugely popular drama continues for eight seasons, before it came to an end in 2006.
Set around a fictional women’s prison in South London, the TV series was a huge critical success, and drew in millions of fans during its run.
Bad Girls had a huge cast, which saw the likes of Linda Henry, Claire King, Simone Lahbib, Mandana Jones, Debra Stephenson, Jack Ellis, Alicya Eyo, Helen Fraser, Kika Mirylees, Victoria Alcock, James Gaddas, Victoria Bush, Dannielle Brent and Liz May Brice grace our screens.
Whilst some of the stars are better known than others, the vast majority have gone on to achieve incredible things after the show.
One of the show’s stars was Lara Cazalet, who played the role of Zandra Plackett.
The blonde bombshell was one of the main characters throughout seasons one and two.
However, her time at Larkhall Prison was anything but smooth sailing.
For starters, the character had only ended up in prison after taking the fall for her millionaire boyfriend, but she later found he’d left her to marry someone else.
Zandra’s baby son was then taken away from her, and her run on the series ended after the character died from a brain tumour.
She was a popular character on the show, and her final episode was in fact the most highest rated episode of the entire series, with over 9.4 million people tuning in.
So, what’s Lara up to now?
It’s been 22 years since the actress wrapped her role on Bad Girls in 2000, but she’s been busy ever since.
She starred in Holby City in 2002, followed by Walking the Dead in 2003, and The Bill in 2005.
From 2006 until 2007, she was cast as the main role of Annie Quick in the TV series New Street Law.
In 2009, Lara returned to The Bill, and her most recent role is the 2017 ITV drama, Fearless.
