BBC Breakfast viewers have shared their joy at seeing presenter Luxmy Gopal on their screens as their tuned in on Sunday.
As she appeared on the famous red sofa alongside long-term presenter Roger Johnson to present the news of the day, fans rushed to social media.

BBC Breakfast fans want Luxmy to present permanently[/caption]
Luxmy looked stunning as she opted for a yellow floral dress which shared a glimpse of her toned legs as she posed with Roger and sports presenter Holly Hamilton.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Good morning sunshine! Happy Bank Holiday Sunday to you.
“Holly and I are putting Roger’s selfie-arm to good use! Hope you can keep us company on BBC Breakfast.”
They soon begged for Luxmy to be given a permanent presenting position as she stole the show with her latest appearance, with many posting their support on social media.

Alongside an array of red love heart emojis, one person penned: “What a breath of fresh air you are, it’s time you had a permanent slot me thinks.”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “The best Sunday team! Loving it this morning.”
A third chipped in: “It’s a fantastic Sunday when Luxmy is on the breakfast sofa.”
Luxmy usually presents the Look North program, but has occasionally stepped in to host the BBC Breakfast show whenever the show has needed her.
She recently made a return to the sofa after stepping away, and fans were thrilled to see her back as she shared the news on social media.

BBC rotates presenters on a Sunday, with Roger, Nina Warhorse, Ben Thompson and Katherine Downes usually taking it in turns to host the show.
