CELEBRITY MasterChef fans are set to be left delighted following a surprise appearance from Dame Mary Berry at the semi-final stages of the competition. 

Dame Mary will make her debut in the MasterChef kitchen in the episode broadcast on the 8th September where she will challenge the seven remaining stars to re-create one of her most popular dishes.

Mary will judge the celebrities alongside resident hosts, John Torode and Gregg Wallace, where they will have to master cooking with a host of unfamiliar ingredients and a variety of new techniques to impress the culinary trio.

So far a whole host of famous faces have been battiling It out on the BBC One show to follow in the footsteps of stars such as Kimberly Wyatt and Lisa Faulkner

Twenty celebrities will entered the kitchen with only eight of them moving into the semi-finalswith seven of them getting the chance to impress former Bake Off star Mary.

Here is who has left Celebrity MasterChef so far

Reality TV star Faye Winter, best known for her time on Love Island, and McFly band member Danny Jones both beat off fierce competiton to become the most impressive cooks from heat one and we’re swiftly joined by Call the Midwife favourite Cliff Parisi 90’s popstar Mel Blatt.

Footballing icon Jimmy Bullard and veteran actress Lesley Joseph make up the current six stars who have advance to the next rounds of the show. 

This latest piece of MasterChef news comes after recently axed contestant, EastEnders and Hollyoaks star, Richard Blackwood left him struggling with nightmares

The 50-year-old told The Mirror the BBC show would keep him awake thinking about dishes he had already cooked, and ones he wanted to make.

“It’s tough,” he admitted. “You have sleepless nights, dreaming about dishes that you’ve made or that you want to make.”

He continued: “Then whatever the food was, it wasn’t even edible. It was like literally, you just don’t stop thinking about food.”

There is still two semi-final spaces up for grabs during the last remaining heat which will feature ex-Corrie hunk Ryan Thomas, radio presenter Lisa Snowdon, drag queen Kitty Scott-Claus, Strictly star Katya Jones and campaigner Adam Pearson.
